Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing while focusing on safety, quality, and production. The Production Manager is a key individual for supporting and enhancing production processes, organizational performance, and employee culture. The Production Manager is also an active member of the RealCup Plant Leadership Team.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide leadership to the production floor by planning and directing work activities to ensure efficient and timely execution of the production schedule
  • Ensure safe work environment and exemplary safety performance through participation in JHSC, accident investigations, safety reviews and strategic planning
  • Improve quality and compliance standards in the plant through optimization of processes, enforcement of procedures, and working in partnership with the quality department
  • Responsible for the administration of an overall production budget including direct, indirect, and overtime labour
  • Identify and execute operational improvements to reduce costs, increase capacity and efficiencies
  • Lead continuous improvement activities on the plant floor
  • Develop long-term motivation and leadership plan for the plant
  • Develop and strengthen workplace culture in adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Develop and lead production supervisors and indirect staff to expand and increase the capabilities of the plant
  • Communicate plant performance addressing compliance, safety, equipment, scheduling, and operations performance internally on a regular basis
  • As part of the Leadership Team ; Leads communications meeting with departmental staff; Actively participates in and supports all safety initiatives within the RealCup site; In partnership with Plant Manager and cross functional Plant Leadership Team, prioritize and set strategic direction for the site through the development of innovative manufacturing strategies in alignment with key performance indicators.
  • Ensure initiatives are executed in an agile, efficient, and prudent manner


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post secondary degree/diploma mandatory
  • Degree or Diploma in a technical or science field highly desirable
  • Lean Six-Sigma experience highly desirable
  • 3-5 years in a high-speed manufacturing environment in a leading operations role
  • Proven general management skills, strong communication, leadership and coaching skills
  • Proven track record of technical innovation.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
